To keep pace with the demand, we are seeking an experienced individual to lead this effort. GoHealth has the best tools for individuals and employers to seek comparisons and information to make actionable choices in Healthcare Insurance Exchanges, and will remain an industry leader as the market responds to new HIX/HRA legislation.

GoHealth is seeking an experienced Private Exchange Director to lead the development and execution of a new product focused on private Healthcare Insurance Exchange (HIX). Additionally, this position will lead and deliver a comprehensive solution for Healthcare Insurance Exchange to be sold to a variety of consumers. This position will focus on the Healthcare Insurance Exchange operation to achieve revenue growth, profitability, and new business development through client development and retention goals.

The Private Exchange Director will identify and engage with potential new clients and manage our targeted industries growth initiative. This is a client-facing position, responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service and developing strong business relationships with GoHealth clients. This position is hands-on, and the right candidate will be expected to communicate at an executive level as well.

The Private Exchange Director must possess a unique blend of consulting delivery, business development and leadership skills. This business savvy candidate will be both a strategic thinker and an innovative leader. We are looking for a results-oriented manager who focuses on generating and leading new business initiatives and producing highly productive relationships and partnerships that benefit the organization. Your knowledge of and expertise with Healthcare Insurance Exchanges will propel you to create and generate viable leads from an existing prospect database as well as developing a robust new prospect pipeline.

As a staff leader, you are accountable for enhancing organizational performance; and playing a key role in strengthening alliances and supporting the growth of private exchange business.

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business or Healthcare Administration or relevantly focused coursework/ work experience in healthcare, benefits administration or third party administration
  • 8 years of experience in business development, management or sales
  • Minimum of 5 years employee benefits experience; benefits brokerage/consulting firm, insurance carrier, or TPA.
  • Experience in Medicaid or Private Health Plans Options
  • Familiarity with PPACA legislation and OCIIO/CMS guidance
  • Group health insurance experience preferred; HIX/HRA benefits experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to guide, influence, develop, motivate and support others
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and dynamic environment where initiative and self-motivation are required, as is the ability to work in a client-centric strategic and decisive manner
  • Must be comfortable with technology platforms and architectures
  • Proven ability to identify decision makers and influencers within a complex client organizational structure
  • Comprehensive understanding of economic, accounting and operational principles and practices
  • Established track record of increasing the top line financial performance and value of companies
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Competencies in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
